Lemon Shrimp with Grits

1Heat 3 cups of water in a saucepan until they start boiling.

2Add to it the grits with a pinch of salt and pepper then mix them well.

3Cook them for 6 min while stirring all the time.

4Fold the butter into the grits then place it aside.

5Heat the butter in a large pan over medium heat until it melts.

6Add to it the onion with garlic and a pinch of salt then cook for 3 min.

7Add the tomato and cook them for 4 min.

8Stir in the shrimp with lemon juice, a pinch of salt and pepper then cook them for 4 min.

9Spoon the mix over the creamy grits then serve them and enjoy.


1 ¼ cup medium shrimp, peeled and deveined

3 cups of water

2 cups of tomato, diced

1 yellow onion, finely chopped

3 tablespoons of butter

¾ cup of instant grits

1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice

2 cloves of garlic, minced

Black pepper
